I love travel! It is one of the biggest features in my “ideal life” day dreaming, but I don’t get to do it a lot yet.
This month however I’ll be doing a bit of jetting around and I am SO excited about the places I am going and the things I have planned.
This Friday I head to Melbourne for the Big Hearted Business Conference, run by Claire Bowditch. This is a two day event to help inspire and educate creatives. Totally my cup of tea!
Then later this month I head to Brisbane for a whirlwind visit and some events of my own.
On Monday May 19th I will be facilitating two workshops, one on Business Branding and the second on Social Media Marketing. These will each run for 3 hours and be held at the brand new BrisStyle Headquarters in Teneriffe.
I have recently run these workshops here in Townsville and this is what one of the participants had to say after the class;
Elle, I am a teacher, a teacher who is awful wary of ‘teachers’ – you are in my estimation a natural teacher in the best sense of the term – you listen more than you talk and you guide more than you direct. You are active on all levels of the conversation – as in you are sensitive to where your learners are at, where the learning is going and what your learners need ‘in the moment’.
That is a presence and a skill that is hard to master and hard to enact – on top of that to put all variety of personalities in the room at such ease that substantive conversation flows naturally!?! – thats some seriously impressive pedagogical prowess lady!

But that’s not all that is happening in Brisbane! The following day I am hosting the very first Inspired Events Brisbane Breakfast and the speaker is none other than the fabulous Vicki Sinclair.
Vicki is a passionate supporter of all things handmade. Her various roles in creative industries have kept her out of trouble, while feeding her creative side with the inspiration it cries out for. Previously the owner/manager of in.cube8r in Brisbane, her new role with Dotti Will Do continues to support those born with the creative gene.
In her lifetime she has been a Miss Australia Finalist, a touring actor, a radio promotions manager and a forklift driver, but is yet to bungy jump or skydive.
She will be sharing her story with us on May 20th at Mr Rush Cafe.
I am looking to host more fun things in Brisbane in the future so if you have any ideas of workshops you’d like to see or if you want to put your hand up to speak at one of the breakfasts let me know.
If you want to book into any of these events you can do so right here, and please note there are only a limited number of seats, I’d hate for you to miss out!
